COVID CASES – Summer 2022 update

There is no longer any automatic need for students to test for Covid-19.

• If a student has Covid symptoms, or tests positive for Covid, but feels well enough to attend school then they can attend as normal. School does not need to be informed in either case.
• If a student is too unwell to attend school then they should stay off as per usual sickness absence.
• If a student is too unwell and has a high temperature, then they can return to school as soon as the temperature returns to normal

It is no longer necessary to inform school of covid related illness.

The only exception to the guidance above is where a student has covid, or covid symptoms, and is due to sit a formal public examination. In this case parents and carers should contact the school asap for advice.
