The Hub

The Hub is a centre of learning, and reading for life for the whole school. It comprises of a well-equipped library and computer room. It is always a centre of activity during break and lunchtimes, giving students the opportunity to enrich their learning and it is well used by the English department during the school day.

Students are also encouraged to volunteer as a Student Librarian, giving them a sense of responsibility and ownership, promoting their role as a citizen in the school community.

The Hub is open for students before school from 7:15a.m, at break, lunchtime and after school. We have a wide range of fiction and nonfiction books for students to borrow.

When buying books, we try to get the latest popular fiction, as requested by our students, as well as set texts and reading books that support the English curriculum. We also stock plenty of nonfiction for other subject areas.
