Following on from my last blog I am writing today to inform our community of the plans that are in place to protect students, staff and their families as we reopen school next week.
Information on the school Risk Assessment and an essential guide for parents/carers can be found here:

In addition, based on recent developments, there is a change to the initial plan regarding face coverings. Prior to the announcement yesterday evening, we had taken the decision that face coverings must be worn by all students when moving around inside any school building. This means on their way to and from form time and lessons and when queueing in the school canteens. It does not apply in lessons, changing rooms, when sat in assembly or sat at dining tables in the canteen. Parents and carers are therefore asked to ensure that students have a suitable face covering to wear at the appropriate times during the school day. This will apply whether or not Stockport remains under stricter lockdown rules than other parts of the country.
Should a student be unable to wear a face covering for a medical reason then parents/carers are asked to contact the school either via Head of Year or Claire Gregory (Claire.gregory@marplehall.stockport.sch.uk) before the start of term.
Best wishes
