Assistant Head Teacher

Rick joined MHS in 2004 and, following a period as Head of Drama realised his passion for Pastoral Care, becoming a Head of House, a Head of Year before moving into SLT as Assistant Head teacher for KS4.  Rick has responsibility for supporting the Y10 and Y11 teams, monitoring both their attitude to learning and their wider school lives as they prepare for their exams whilst working to ensure every student to reaches their potential.  He works alongside the pastoral team to support the schools behaviour and attitude systems, working closely with the Deputy Head.  Rick also oversees the schools PSHEE provision, rewards, sanctions and form tutors.  Rick is also a passionate Film Studies and Drama teacher.
