Between April and May 2016, the Governing Body of Marple Hall School consulted on plans to convert the school to academy status.
The consultation received responses from parents, staff members, members of the local community and professional bodies. Both a summary of and the full responses can be found below.
The Governing Body met to discuss the responses on 23rd May 2016 and unanimously agreed to progress with the academy conversion.
The Governors and Headteacher of Marple Hall School are determined to safeguard the future of Marple Hall School, and are keen to engage with local primary schools in constructing a multi academy trust for the benefit of all learners in our part of Stockport. To this end there will be no ‘rushed’ academy conversion. Deliberate steps will be taken in conjunction with local colleagues to ensure an effective and successful organisation is created.
